Washington Elementary Safety Reminder

This year the school has made an extra effort to focus on safety for students. This is a reminder if students are picked up or dropped off on the east side of Morton Street, they should use the crosswalk at the corner of Morton Street and 9th Avenue or at the corner of Morton Street and 8th Avenue. Please do not allow students to cross in the middle of the block.
As part of the Safe Routes to school grant, a "stop for pedestrian" sign was purchased to help slow traffic in front of the school. The portable sign will be placed in the crosswalk on the corner of Morton Street and 9th Avenue.
