Holdrege Wins Sportsmanship Award

Holdrege High School was awarded the Sportsmanship Trophy for the Class B Girls Basketball Tournament this last weekend. The Sportsmanship program is run by the Nebraska Coaches Association and the Nebraska State Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, with underwriting by the Nebraska Independent College Foundation and Awards Unlimited. Players, coaches, students, fans and school personnel are evaluated according to a scale on which they can gain or lose points depending upon their display of sportsmanship or their lack of sportsmanship. This is the second year in a row that Holdrege High School has taken home one of these trophies. The school was also awarded the Class B trophy from the 2006 Boys State Basketball Tournament. Congratulations to all players, coaches, students and fans for continuing to add to the great reputation of being a DUSTER!!
