Holdrege Students Participate in Conference Honor Band

Holdrege band students Alex Jones, Blake Dunaway, Alyssa Macke, Haley Gabriel, and Chris Owens spent last Saturday with band students from eight schools in the conference. Around 70 students participated in the Conference Honor Band held at Grand Island Northwest High School. The clinician was Dr. David Bohnert from Wayne State College. The ensemble rehearsed throughout the day and the event culminated in a concert at 5:30 p.m. The program featured the music "Flourish for Wind Band", "Greek Folk Song Suite", Fantasy on a Japanese Folk Song", and "Sub-Saharan Rhythm".
