Librarians are teachers whose subject is learning.
My name is Betty Bricker and I am the Media Specialist at
Holdrege Middle School and Franklin Elementary School. I graduated
from Lawrence High School and received my undergraduate degree in
Education from Peru State College, my Masters Degree in Biology,
and my Educational Media Endorsement from the University of
Nebraska at Kearney. I taught science in the
Arapahoe/Holbrook Public Schools for six years and in
the Holdrege Schools for eleven years before becoming Media
Specialist in 2007.
Over the years, technology has played an increasingly important
part of my responsibility. I oversee the media center, and serve as
technical consultant to the staff and students at HMS. I know you
will enjoy using our Media Center, an up-to-date leader in
information technology. It is my responsibility to teach you how to
use the many resources that we have available.
