School Safety Addressed at District Level
October 05, 2007
School safety was the topic of discussion at a recent meeting of the Holdrege Public Schools Safety Committee. Several issues were discussed amongst the committee members and school administrators. As a result of these discussions, several changes will be made regarding access to our school buildings.
All building will be secured. Signs will be posted at doors advising visitors of where they may enter the buildings. As always, visitors to the buildings are to report to the office and obtain visitor identification, as well as check out upon leaving.
We will also be implementing an identification system for all staff members in every district building. We will have photo ID cards for each adult who works in any building. This should be completed within the next few weeks.
Our utmost concern, as a school district, is for the safety of our students. Please feel free to contact a building administrator with any questions or concerns you may have.
