Second Graders Enjoy Guest Reader

Students in Mrs. Sundquist’s second grade class at Franklin Elementary recently enjoyed a guest reader. Livier Fernandez, a student in the class, invited her mother, Sidaine Bonilla, to read the Spanish version of a story entitled "Fernando’s Gift." The English version of the story is in the class' reading book. The story takes place in the rain forest in Costa Rica. It was fun for the students to listen for Spanish words that sounded familiar. They are excited to learn more Spanish words during fourth quarter Wednesday afternoon classes.
