Lil’ Dusters PreSchool
The Lil’ Dusters PreSchool program offers a quality learning and play environment for all children regardless of ability, income or previous preschool experience. Lil’ Dusters PreSchool meets 4 days a week (Monday through Thursday). We have a morning session and an afternoon session. The morning session is 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and the afternoon session is 12:30 – 3:30. The 4 year olds attend the morning session and the 3 year olds attend the afternoon session. (The 3 yr olds can attend just 2 days a week if the parent chooses) Staff includes one full-time certified Early Childhood teacher and two paraeducators to assist the teacher and students. The PreSchool is located 1 mile south of town at the R-7 school. You will be given a PreSchool Handbook with more information about supplies, snacks, and policies/procedures, etc. at the Open House in August.
Tuition is based on the free/reduced breakfast program (determined each year in Aug), English Language Learners qualification, verification for special education services, or on an individual basis. If your child qualifies for one of these programs, then your child can attend free of charge. For children that don’t qualify the tuition is $100 a month. Openings are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Children must be residents of Holdrege Public Schools District 69-0044.
Morning students will be served breakfast upon their arrival at PreSchool (free if you qualify as such, currently $1.15 for those that pay tuition, you can choose to opt out of breakfast if your child eats breakfast at home).
Please fill out the enclosed enrollment form to reserve a spot at Lil’ Dusters PreSchool. An immunization guideline is also included so you can update that if need be over the summer. Transportation, and free/reduced breakfast forms will be sent out when we get them in August. We will also need a copy of child’s birth certificate and a copy of child’s immunization record.
