Holdrege Student to March with Casper Troopers

Holdrege band trumpet player Blake Dunaway has been selected to participate with 2008 Casper Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps. The corps has consistently placed in Drum Corps International's elite "top 25" and holds numerous national and world titles. They will tour 16 states this summer and attend the Drum Corps International World Championships held in Bloomington, Indiana on August 9. The corps celebrates it's 50th anniversary this year and present a field show titled "Ironhorse Express".
Blake will move to Casper on May 23 to join the corps while they prepare their show for tour. Follow Blake and the Troopers progress this summer on http://www.troopersdrumcorps.org/ and www.dci.org. The corps will be featured in the Cornhusker Summer Music Games at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, NE on July 14. Tickets are available at www.dci.org/tickets.
