Make a Difference - Be a TeamMate Mentor or Sponsor!!

Just one hour a week can make a difference in a student’s life. Findings from the Gallup on-line data collection shows that the time spent with a mentor has a significant positive impact on the student's performance relating to academic performance, unexcused absences, and discipline referrals.
The Holdrege TeamMates program began with 22 fifth grade students matched with volunteer mentors.
Please contact Mary Schneider or Jean Berreckman at the Middle School (995-5421) if you are interested in becoming a mentor. The next mentor training session has tentatively been scheduled for the week of August 11th.
Donations in support of the program may be directed to John Boehler, TeamMates of Holdrege Treasurer or to Cinde Wendell, Superintendent.
If you are unable to be a mentor, please consider sponsoring a mentor for a year with $150.
