Jonathan Larson was named Overall Outstanding Male Actor in Class B

Larson Receives Acting Award and Play Places 3rd at State

December 11, 2009

The HHS actors placed 3rd at the NSAA State Play Production competition held in Kearney on December 10 with their play “Wallace’s Will”.  Alliance received 1st place with Norris taking second.  Holdrege students receiving acting awards were Amanda Jones and Jonathan Larson.

Overall acting awards are also given out at each class level.  Holdrege’s own Jonathan Larson was awarded the Overall Outstanding Male Actor for Class B for his portrayal of Terrance Wimbledon-Greene.  Amy Harris of Alliance won the female acting award.

“I am extremely proud of these kids,” stated director Kris Olson.  “They have worked very hard for this honor putting in countless hours to get their portrayal of these characters perfect.  The crew also put in a lot of time to get the set and technical aspect of the show just right.  It takes everyone from the extras to the leads to the crew to get a show to this point.”
