Policies Concerning Equal Treatment

Our School Board believes that each student and employee should be treated fairly.

If you feel that you have been treated unfairly because

*  You are a member of a certain race

*  You are a boy or a girl

*  You speak English as you second language

*  You are from a country other than the United States

*  You have a handicap

This person will help you and is in charge of our school's compliance with these laws to protect you: Title IX of the 1972 Education Amendments. Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and for Civil Rights, U.S. Department of Education, regarding this school's compliance with these laws: Title VI, Title IX and Section 504.
 
The Holdrege Schools are responsible to provide a free and appropriate public education to all resident children from age of diagnosis to 21 who have been verified as requiring special education services. This responsibility is required through Title 92, Nebraska Administrative Code, Chapter 51 and Chapter 54. Special services are available through the public schools for all children with special education needs in areas of: speech and language impairments; hearing impairments; visual impairments; mentally handicapped; specific learning impairments; traumatic brain injuries; multiple handicaps.
