Friday, March 12 – No School – Spring Break
FFA members competing in District CDE’s will have a 2nd study night next Tues, Mar 16, in the Ag Room starting at 7:00 pm. FFA members other than those in Ag I should expect to be at this Study Session or they will not be going to contests next week.
TWISTER DANCE TEAM TRYOUTS will be held on Tuesday, Mar 16, @ 6:00 in the high school gym. Five scheduled practices are scheduled @ the Dance Academy. Anyone interested may pick up a “Dance Team Tryout Packet” in the office.
This year’s POST PROM THEME is “Survivor.” “Sign up in tribes of 6. We want everyone involved, and we will have everyone in a tribe!! “
Along with “Survivor,” there will be a “hypnotist” to conclude post prom.
You may still sign up for post prom in Mrs. Pearson’s room. We need to get an idea of how many of you will be attending even if you don’t have your group figured out yet.
JUNIORS & SENIORS attending Prom:
--Order your flowers from Holdrege Foral
--Reserve time slot for group /couple pictures from Christensen Photography
--Bring YOUR baby picture , YOUR senior picture , and group pictures
--Give pictures to Amanda Gray, Leah Lanowski, or Mrs. Pearson
DANCE & CHEER EVALUATIONS are due in the office on Monday, March 15. Turn evaluations in to Shirley in the office.
“BIG BAND DANCE”
Due to popular demand, the Duster Band is preparing for their “2nd Annual Big Band Dance” to be held at the R-7 gym on Saturday, March 20, at 7 p.m.
Elegant prom-like dresses, suits and tuxedoes are required dress for this event to honor the Big Band Era.
Tickets are available from Band members, the High School and Middle School offices, First National Bank and Tier One Bank for $7 each or $12/couple. Tickets will be $8 at the door.
Dance the night away or sit back and listen to the musical talents of the High School Jazz Band. “Cut a rug” at the Big Band Dance!
