Box Tops Challenge Yields Rewards For Elementary
PTO Raises $900!
December 02, 2009
In October the Elementary PTO had a Box Tops drive, in which we raised over 9,000 Box Tops! That translates to $900 for the PTO! We held a contest in which the classes that turned in the most Box Tops won a class party with Dilly Bars from Dairy Queen. (Thanks DQ for half-priced Dilly Bars!) At Washington Elementary, Mrs. Brand's second grade class turned in 786 Box Tops and had their Dilly Bar party on Friday, October 23rd. Mrs. Florell's third grade class was the winning class at Franklin Elementary, having turned in 836 Box Tops. They enjoyed their Dilly Bars on that same Friday. At R-7 Mrs. Williams' second grade class enjoyed their Dilly Bars on Thursday, October 22nd. They turned in the winning amount for R-7 with 562 Box Tops. Franklin Elementary turned in a total of 2,997 Box Tops, Washington Elementary 4,312 and R-7 1,686. We thank everyone for their help collecting Box Tops! We also thank our volunteers who counted them all, whew! We will have another Box Tops drive in February so please continue to save Box Tops.
