Franklin Students Mark the 100th Day of School!

February 01, 2010

In the life of an elementary school student, the 100th day of school is a big day.  Many classrooms begin every day with calendar activities in which they count and keep track of how many days of school we've had.  Thursday, January 28th marked the 100th day of school.  Students in elementary classrooms celebrated in various ways.  Here's a synopsis of how some classrooms at Franklin Elementary marked the 100th day.

Second Grade:  Mrs. Sundquist

Mrs, Sundquist's students celebrated the 100th day of school by putting together jigsaw puzzles with 100 pieces, blowing bubbles for 100 seconds, hopping for 100 seconds and making number patterns on their 100s charts.

Third Grade:  Miss Pierce

Third graders in Miss Pierce's class marked their 100th day of school by choosing one spelling word and one cursive letter and writing each of them 100 times.  They were able to enjoy 100 pieces of cereal for a snack.
