Three Duster Band students to participate in the UNK Honor Band

Blake Dunaway, Haley Gabriel, and Alyssa Macke auditioned and were selected to participate in the UNK Honor Band on Monday, January 28, 2008 at the UNK Health and Sports Center. Top band students were selected from schools across the state. Conductors for the ensemble will be Dr. John DeStafano from Forest Hills Central High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Dr. Neil Schnoor, professor of music at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Participants will rehearse all day and final evening concert will commence at 6:30 p.m. in the 6,000 seat UNK Health & Sports Center. Tickets for the concert may be purchased for $3 the evening of the concert at the ticket booth of the Health and Sports Center.
